Bucaramanga
Esperanza lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Bucaramanga Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,350. Her current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks. With the right equipment Esperanza could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $2,350 goes: • powered wheelchair: $2,250 • Fitting and training sessions: $40 • First-year servicing plan: $60 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - Iván
