Eren's final semester of a law degree in Kadıköy

Eren has worked and saved for four years to study a law degree; a $1,250 gap now stands between him and graduation.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a law degree at Kadıköy Community College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a barista to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $1,250. The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.8 average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility. I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Kadıköy Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,250 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $660 • Final term tuition: $540 • Exam and lab fees: $50 With deep gratitude, Eren

Updates from Eren

  1. Quick update: $307 raised so far (25%). I made the first payment toward outstanding tuition balance. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  2. Small update. $544 so far, the first invoice got paid this week.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($97 in total) the first invoice got paid this week. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
