Emergency vet bill for Tucker in Montréal
Tucker, Alexander's German shepherd, needs urgent treatment for bloat costing $2,250.
🇨🇦 Quebec, Canada294 views
Tucker is my German shepherd of three years. On 3 July we rushed to the Montréal Emergency Vet Clinic with bloat. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $2,250.
They have stabilized Tucker, but the treatment can't wait beyond September.
Tucker is more than a pet - Tucker is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $250 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the Montréal Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,650
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $300
• Medication and follow-up visits: $180
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $120
Glad we found this place.

Good luck, Alexander. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Montréal
Hang in there. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 24 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Thanks for sharing this, Alexander. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Blessings!
