Emergency vet bill for Teddy in Kampala
Teddy, Juma's dog, needs urgent treatment for severe tick fever costing $200.

Teddy is my dog of six years. On 5 May we rushed to Kampala Veterinary Centre with severe tick fever. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $200.
They have stabilized Teddy, but the treatment can't wait beyond August.
Teddy is more than a pet - Teddy got me through my hardest year. I have already put $50 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Kampala Veterinary Centre and I'll share the invoice and an update on Teddy's recovery.
Where the $200 goes:
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $50
• Medication and follow-up visits: $15
• Emergency surgery: $135

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Juma.
Sure. The biggest one is diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork), $50. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one.
