Emergency vet bill for Ollie in Zagazig
Ollie, Idris's rescue greyhound, needs urgent treatment for pyometra costing $250.
🇪🇬 Egypt560 views
Ollie is my rescue greyhound of nine years. On 24 April we rushed to Zagazig Veterinary Centre with pyometra. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $250.
They have stabilized Ollie, but the treatment can't wait beyond June.
Ollie is more than a pet - Ollie is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $55 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Zagazig Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $250 goes:
• Medication and follow-up visits: $35
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $20
• Emergency surgery: $195
Thanks for being kind about this.

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Idris?
Thank you. If you're in Zagazig I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. It helps to be asked.
Wishing you the best, Idris. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Austin.
Good luck. Shared it with a few friends. Take care!
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in Dhaka this morning.
Praying for you, Idris. Give Ollie a hug from me. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
