Zagazig
Ollie is my rescue greyhound of nine years. On 24 April we rushed to Zagazig Veterinary Centre with pyometra. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $250. They have stabilized Ollie, but the treatment can't wait beyond June. Ollie is more than a pet - Ollie is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $55 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Zagazig Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals. Where the $250 goes: • Medication and follow-up visits: $35 • Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $20 • Emergency surgery: $195 Thanks for being kind about this.

    • Thank you. If you're in Zagazig I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. It helps to be asked.

    • Good luck. Shared it with a few friends. Take care!

      • Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in Dhaka this morning.

        • Praying for you, Idris. Give Ollie a hug from me. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
