Emergency vet bill for Max in Mbale
A rescue greyhound named Max needs orthopedic surgery - a $250 bill the family can't cover.

Max is my rescue greyhound of thirteen years. On 10 September we rushed to Mbale Veterinary Centre with bloat. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $250.
They have stabilized Max, but the treatment can't wait beyond December.
Max is more than a pet - Max is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $50 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Mbale Veterinary Centre and I'll share the invoice and an update on Max's recovery.
Where the $250 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $110
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $65
• Medication and follow-up visits: $45
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $30
