Emergency vet bill for Coco in Kelowna
A rescue greyhound named Coco needs emergency surgery - a $1,100 bill the family can't cover.

Coco is my rescue greyhound of six years. On 15 November we rushed to Kelowna Veterinary Centre with severe tick fever. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $1,100.
They have stabilized Coco, but the treatment can't wait beyond February.
Coco is more than a pet - Coco is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $190 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Kelowna Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $770
• Medication and follow-up visits: $130
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $200
