Zagazig
Taghreed was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in August. The surgeon at Zagazig Regional Medical Center recommended emergency hernia repair, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,600, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $950 short. my wife has been in and out of Zagazig Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,600 is more than we can find. While we wait, Taghreed struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Taghreed won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section. Where the $950 goes: • Post-operative medication: $55 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $80 • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $330 • Physiotherapy sessions: $65 • Hospital stay (5 nights): $420 Glad we found this place.

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($808 in total) I met with the hospital and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
