Eli needs a pair of hearing aids - help us make it happen
Eli needs a pair of hearing aids that the health system won't fund; the cost is $9,150.
🇺🇸 California, United States569 views
Eli lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at San Francisco General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $9,150.
His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Eli could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $9,150 goes:
• pair of hearing aids: $8,250
• Fitting and training sessions: $420
• Delivery and set-up: $175
• First-year servicing plan: $305
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
