Edgardo's school year: uniform, books and a laptop
Edgardo earned a place in Grade 9 at Mandaue Girls' High School; we're $200 short on required supplies.

I earned a place in Grade 9 at Mandaue Girls' High School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the biology course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $200, which is more than we have.
I love biology and want to become a doctor. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $200 goes:
• Laptop: $100
• School uniform and shoes: $35
• Textbooks and workbooks: $45
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $20
Thanks for being kind about this.

Hope things get better soon, Edgardo. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 6 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from San Jose
