Earthquake in Bergamo: help the Sunrise district rebuild
After the earthquake, families in the Sunrise district need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.
🇮🇹 Italy1,181 views
The earthquake hit the Sunrise district on 20 July. My home was one of 32 damaged, and 4 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $4,800 goes:
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,050
• Clean water and purification supplies: $770
• Roofing sheets and timber: $1,550
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,430
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Hang in there. More neighborhoods should do this. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Casablanca
