Doris was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in February. The oncology team at the Nottingham Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Doris is 45, worked as a taxi driver until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Nottingham Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
