I coordinate donations at the Harmony Mosque in Kasarani. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Kasarani, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Harmony Mosque on Tuesday between 9am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Harmony Mosque clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Thanks for being kind about this.

  • Take care. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings

    • Best of luck, Wafula. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best.

      • Good luck, Wafula. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. God bless.
