The water account is 2 months behind. Zofia received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless $250 is paid. She had never been late before an unexpected car repair.
Zofia called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $75 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a disabled brother, and going through winter without water isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
Zofia is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
