Don't let Yasmin's family go through summer without gas

A disconnection notice for gas arrived and Yasmin needs $500 before September.

The gas account is 4 months behind. Yasmin received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless $500 is paid. She had never been late before an unexpected car repair. Yasmin called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $60 first, which isn't available. The household includes an elderly mother, and going through summer without gas isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home. Yasmin is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $500 goes: • Heating arrears: $310 • Reconnection and late fees: $90 • Down payment on a payment plan: $100 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Leila
