The gas account is 4 months behind. Rakib received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $100 is paid. He had never been late before August's medical emergency.
Rakib called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $20 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a newborn, and going through the rainy season without gas isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
Rakib is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
