Manasi's colon cancer treatment fund

Manasi is facing colon cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Hubballi
In July I was diagnosed with colon cancer. My oncology team at the Hubballi Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in October. I was told to expect about 4 weeks away from work. I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 58, I worked as a bank teller until July, and I have been the main earner for my household. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to the Hubballi Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly. My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,800 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,000 • Scans and lab work: $200 • Transport to the Hubballi Oncology Institute: $120 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $150 • Household costs while unable to work: $330 With deep gratitude, Manasi
