The electricity and water account is 3 months behind. Óscar received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless $200 is paid. He had never been late before losing my job in June.
Óscar called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $40 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a newborn, and going through the cold months without electricity and water isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
Óscar is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
