Build a wheelchair ramp for Ganesh in Mumbai
Help Ganesh regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India549 views
Ganesh has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Ganesh can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Ganesh's family will cook lunch for the team.

Thinking of you and your family, Bhavani. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care.
