Don't let Nahom's family go through the cold months without electricity

The electricity account is 4 months behind. Nahom received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on January unless $100 is paid. He had never been late before an unexpected car repair. Nahom called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $10 first, which isn't available. The household includes a newborn, and going through the cold months without electricity isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. Nahom is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady. Every dollar goes to the account in Nahom's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates. Where the $100 goes: • Electricity arrears: $50 • Reconnection and late fees: $15 • Down payment on a payment plan: $35 Thanks for being kind about this.
