I'm caring for my father, who's 89. After worsening Parkinson's disease Wichai can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Wichai desperately wants to stay at home. I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Wichai worked all of his life as a seamstress, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference. The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices. Where the $1,450 goes: • Medication and prescriptions: $100 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $140 • Part-time carer (eight months): $1,210 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Saowaluk
