I'm caring for my mother, who's 84. After worsening Parkinson's disease Sadia can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Sadia desperately wants to stay at home. I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer. Sadia worked all of her life as a bus driver, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $700 goes: • Part-time carer (three months): $560 • Medication and prescriptions: $65 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $75 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
