Dignity in old age: caring for Odhiambo
Odhiambo can't afford the care He needs after a diagnosis of dementia; we're asking for $550.

I'm caring for me, who's 87. After a diagnosis of dementia Odhiambo can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Odhiambo desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Odhiambo worked all of his life as a carpenter, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $550 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $310
• Medication and prescriptions: $120
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $45
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $75
Glad we found this place.

Thinking of you, Odhiambo. Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings.
wishing you the best, Odhiambo. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Hang in there. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless
Get well soon. Love from Södertälje.
