Dignity in old age: caring for Ngọc
Help Ngọc stay in her own home with eight months of part-time care.
🇻🇳 Cầu Giấy, Hanoi, Vietnam648 views
I'm caring for my mother, who's 77. After a stroke last July Ngọc can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Ngọc desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Ngọc worked all of her life as a farmer, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $550 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $330
• Medication and prescriptions: $135
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $45
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $40
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Praying for you. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I have a 16 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care.
sending strength. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Cầu Giấy.
sending good thoughts. Get well soon. Sent it to 25 people at work
Hope this works out for you. I'm in hospitality myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Bekasi
