I'm caring for my father, who's 90. After the death of his spouse Ismael can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Ismael desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Ismael worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $250 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $65
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $80
• Medication and prescriptions: $105

Quick update: $277 raised so far (111%). the plan for mobility aids and bathroom adaptations is now scheduled. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
