Dignity in old age: caring for Henry
Help Henry stay in his own home with eight months of part-time care.
🇳🇬 Port Harcourt, Rivers, Nigeria772 views
I'm caring for my father, who's 75. After worsening Parkinson's disease Henry can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Henry desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Henry worked all of his life as a carpenter, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $500 goes:
• Medication and prescriptions: $45
• Part-time carer (eight months): $370
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $85
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
