Dignity in old age: caring for Dennis
Help Dennis stay in his own home with three months of part-time care.
🇰🇪 Kenya255 views
I'm caring for my father, who's 90. After a diagnosis of dementia Dennis can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Dennis desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Dennis worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $200 goes:
• Medication and prescriptions: $65
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $65
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $70
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

hang in there, Anyango. This could happen to any of us. All the best.
Hope things get better soon, Anyango. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side.
Wishing Dennis a smooth procedure and a full recovery. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
