I'm caring for me, who's 96. After worsening Parkinson's disease Chioma can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Chioma desperately wants to stay at home. I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer. Chioma worked all of her life as a nurse, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $150 goes: • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $45 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $55 • Medication and prescriptions: $50 Please ask me anything in the questions section.
