Dignity in old age: caring for Aisha
Aisha can't afford the care She needs after a diagnosis of dementia; we're asking for $350.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 85. After a diagnosis of dementia Aisha can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Aisha desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Aisha worked all of her life as a bus driver, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $350 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $50
• Part-time carer (three months): $270
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $30
