Deepak lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at Coimbatore General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $350. His current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks. With the right equipment Deepak could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $350 goes: • powered wheelchair: $290 • Delivery and set-up: $10 • First-year servicing plan: $50 Thanks for reading all this. - Naveen
