Deborah's stage 3 ovarian cancer treatment fund

6 rounds of treatment are planned at London University Hospital; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

In August I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. My oncology team at London University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in September. I was told to expect about 12 weeks away from work. I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 55, I worked as a farmer until August, and I have been the main earner for my household. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to London University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly. My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $8,750 goes: • Transport to London University Hospital: $620 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,750 • Scans and lab work: $520 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,860 With deep gratitude, Deborah
