Damien received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
A notice to vacate arrived last week. Damien needs $2,800 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Saskatoon.

After a sudden layoff at the warehouse, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $2,800.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by January, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working evenings as a cleaner, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $2,800 goes:
• Rent arrears (4 months): $2,400
• Utilities in arrears: $250
• Late fees and court costs: $150

a colleague of mine might know someone for this in Saskatchewan. I'll ask around and let you know!
Thinking of you, Damien. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless.
