Damian needs a lift to the Kraków Kidney Centre - can you help one day a week?
Could you drive Damian to the Kraków Kidney Centre on Monday? A rota of 4 drivers is forming.
🇵🇱 Kraków, Lesser Poland, Poland915 views
Damian has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to the Kraków Kidney Centre alone. After an eyesight problem, Damian can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 28 km each way.
Damian is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
Thank you for reading my story.

I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Thinking of Kraków.
Wishing you the best, Adam. It takes guts to ask. Well done. All the best
I hope things turn around soon. I hope August is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Kraków.
reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Johannesburg so I could bring a meal.
Wishing Damian a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Lagos.
wishing you peace. This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Flint
Rooting for you. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Blessings.
