Companionship wanted: Santiago's baking and a cup of tea
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Santiago is asking for.
🇺🇸 Bakersfield, California, United States488 views
I'm writing for my neighbor Santiago, who's 76. Santiago lives alone in Bakersfield, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives 676 kilometers away.
Santiago loves baking, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
I hope life is good to you.
