Rivka was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in July. The surgeon at Saint Francis Hospital recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,000, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,400 short.
my wife has been in and out of Saint Francis Hospital since July. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Rivka struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Rivka won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
