Comilla cyclone relief - the families of Lakeview Lane
The cyclone damaged 65 homes in the families of Lakeview Lane. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The cyclone hit the families of Lakeview Lane on 8 April. My home was one of 65 damaged, and 7 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $600 goes:
• Food parcels for displaced families: $220
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $60
• Tools and labor for repairs: $230
• Clean water and purification supplies: $90
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

You're not alone, Rakib. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
thinking of you and your family, Rakib. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'll check back for the next update. Love from Hialeah.
