Clean streets and rivers for Sydney: restoring the Baobab riverbank
A neighborhood-led restoration of the Baobab riverbank needs $1,900 for saplings and equipment.

The Baobab riverbank has been used as an informal dump for years. This March, 66 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 138 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the municipal water board, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• Tools and protective gear: $220
• Native saplings and stakes: $950
• Waste removal and skip hire: $730
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Take care. Great idea, hope you get there. Sent it to 25 people at work. Love from Birmingham.
Thinking of you, Nicholas. This could happen to any of us. Don't give up. Love from Seville
Keep going, Nicholas. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings
shared it with a few friends. We're a small family in Manila but we're thinking of you.
praying for you, Nicholas. Shared this with my family. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Sydney!
