Clean streets and rivers for Fort Worth: restoring Maple Creek
Help us clean and replant Maple Creek before the June planting window closes.
🇺🇸 United States2,039 views
Maple Creek has been used as an informal dump for years. This March, 39 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 45 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the district council, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• Signage and educational materials: $100
• Native saplings and stakes: $810
• Tools and protective gear: $390
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Thanks for sharing this, Kennedy. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Thinking of Fort Worth
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Dallas.
Shared it with a few friends. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Dar es Salaam.
Praying for you. I hope things turn around soon. After 13 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Wishing you peace, Kennedy. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Thinking of Fort Worth.
More neighborhoods should do this. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Jaffna.
