Christian needs two washing machines and a dryer to reopen a laundry service
A laundry service in Rome needs help replacing two washing machines and a dryer after a fire in the building.

For twelve years I have run a laundry service in Rome. In June, a fire in the building took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $480
• Working capital for the first month: $270
• Shop repairs and licensing: $250
Glad we found this place.

Small businesses are the heart of Rome. Hope you're open again soon. All the best!
Stay strong, Christian. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We're a small family in Edinburgh but we're thinking of you. Take care
