Chiamaka's spinal decompression surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After a large ovarian cyst, Chiamaka was cleared for spinal decompression surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Chiamaka was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in May. The surgeon at Ibadan Regional Medical Center recommended spinal decompression surgery, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $640, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $450 short.
my mother has been in and out of Ibadan Regional Medical Center since May. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without spinal decompression surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $640 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Chiamaka struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Chiamaka won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $450 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $310
• Travel and lodging for the family: $50
• Physiotherapy sessions: $90
I hope life is good to you.

Thank you all. We're at 7% now ($30). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward physiotherapy sessions.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Chiamaka?
Thank you. If you're in Ibadan I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great.
Keep going. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Thinking of Ibadan
You're not alone. Shared this with my family. I have a 9 year old who wants to send good wishes too. God bless.
Thanks for sharing this, Emeka. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Blessings
Keep going, Emeka. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Ibadan
