Charlotte is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Los Angeles State College, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,900. The registrar has said Charlotte can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Charlotte has a distinction average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Charlotte would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Charlotte isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Los Angeles State College bursar's office.
