Cedar Primary School needs a youth football pitch - Rahim's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Comilla are raising $400 for a youth football pitch at Cedar Primary School.
Anywhere in the world796 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $120, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 321 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $400 goes:
• Materials: $230
• Permits and inspections: $50
• Safety equipment and signage: $60
• Tools hire and delivery: $60
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Rahim
It's all in the list in the story. materials is the big one at $230, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Appreciate you taking the time.
stay strong, Rahim. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. God bless.
praying for you, Rahim. This could happen to any of us. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
