For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Park, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 130 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $350 goes: • Materials: $165 • Permits and inspections: $45 • Safety equipment and signage: $65 • Tools hire and delivery: $75 Every share and every dollar helps.
