Cataract surgery for Anh: covering what insurance won't
A scheduled cataract surgery in October is out of reach without help covering $1,300 of the cost.

Anh was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in August. The surgeon at Thủ Đức Regional Medical Center recommended cataract surgery, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,750, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,300 short.
my father has been in and out of Thủ Đức Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Anh struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Anh won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $460
• Hospital stay (3 nights): $550
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $90
• Post-operative medication: $55
• Physiotherapy sessions: $120
• Travel and lodging for the family: $25
I hope life is good to you.
