Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Hira

Hira uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.

Hira has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Hira can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Hira's family will cook lunch for the team. Thanks for being kind about this.

Thinking of you, Bushra. This could happen to any of us. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Jakarta.
