Care for Shefali, 90: help cover a carer and medication in Dhaka
Shefali can't afford the care She needs after a stroke last November; we're asking for $750.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 90. After a stroke last November Shefali can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Shefali desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Shefali worked all of her life as a carpenter, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $750 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $620
• Medication and prescriptions: $65
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $25
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $40
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
