Care for Renata, 75: help cover a carer and medication in Tacoma
Renata, 75, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $6,550 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 75. After a diagnosis of dementia Renata can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Renata desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Renata worked all of her life as a schoolteacher, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $6,550 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $5,250
• Medication and prescriptions: $320
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $480
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $500
