Care for Pilar, 92: help cover a carer and medication in Buenos Aires
Pilar, 92, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,300 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 92. After worsening Parkinson's disease Pilar can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Pilar desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Pilar worked all of her life as a shopkeeper, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $960
• Medication and prescriptions: $145
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $105
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $90
