Avery received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
After the loss of a second income, Avery is 4 months behind on rent and has a court summons for non-payment from the landlord.

When my hours were cut in half in November, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Sunday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $3,750.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by February, we must leave.
I have three school-aged children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working evenings as a cleaner, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $3,750 goes:
• Rent arrears (4 months): $2,650
• Late fees and court costs: $165
• Utilities in arrears: $110
• First month of rent as a buffer: $825

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Avery.
Sure. The biggest one is rent arrears (4 months), $2,650. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one.
